Leather and Loafers

Winter is upon us, people!

Fall has come and gone and today was our first snowfall. Even though I despise the cold and bitter wind, I have an obsession with coats and jackets. I've even gone so far to name my faves. (The leopard coat from my previous post is called Wanda btw.)

Today I decided to wear my Mum's cashmere sweater from... wait for it... Costco!

I know what you're all thinking... Costco?! But seriously, sometimes the stuff they have there is pure gold. It's hit or miss, but definitely don't overlook the clothes the next time you're there.
You might just find your new favourite sweater!

This camel coat is such a classic. It's a timeless piece every woman should have in her closet.
It's so warm and totes comfy.
(It was on sale too!)

To compliment my large and in charge sweater, I chose my burgundy faux leather pants. These pants are literally the comfiest leather pants on the planet. If you haven't already noticed, my style clearly revolves around comfort!

I wore my all-time fave beanie and scarf as well as my Ray-Ban sunnies.

For my shoes, my faux snakeskin slip-ons were my go to. They took a while to break in, but it was 100% worth it.

In regard to jewellery, my style is very simple. I have 8 rings that I wear all day, everyday. These rings are very special to me, as I have picked them up from places I've travelled to. Like Mexico, Atlanta, Dublin, and Northern Ontario.
The ring third from the left (the tear drop shaped one) is made of Labradorite which aligns all your chakras and gives off good energy, so that's my personal fave. I got it at a really cool store in Downtown Atlanta.

For my necklace, I wear a charm necklace 24/7. I hardly ever take it off. On it there is a peace sign, a hamsa, which is a symbol of protection, a Celtic cross which was my grandmothers, and a flower.
I don't know how I came up with the idea to put them all on one chain, but I'm glad I did.
Having such symbolic jewellery makes me feel very peaceful and protected.

Do you have jewellery that's special to you or symbolic? Have any cool statement rings? Comment below or post a photo on Instagram with the hashtag #coutureinchains so I can see!

Leopard For Days

Today was filled with so many exciting things!

First off, I met up with my new friend, Mikayla, and we discovered we have (almost) matching leopard jackets! It was so fun doing a shoot with a seasoned blogger and getting some invaluable tips!

Check out Mikayla's blog at http://www.makstyle.ca

Being a responsible adult, I checked the weather forecast this morning and saw that there was 40% chance of rain today. Knowing this, I packed an umbrella and slipped on my Hunter wellies and went off to school. Of course now that I was prepared, the sky stayed a perfect blue and it was a high of 15.  Oh well... there's always tomorrow!

I got to try out my new deep purple lipstick and it actually is amazing. It stayed on through my morning coffee and my lunch without getting it smeared on my chin!

And what is an outfit without the perfect handbag to go with? Today I chose my Céline bag to complete the look!
